Silverscreen Diego & I
Created for display in the DeVos Art Museum in Marquette, Michigan.
Frida Kahlo’s Diego and I
. Each poster in this series is a representation of a famous work of art reinterpreted as if the artist had been a film director instead, and then I illustrated and designed a poster based on that “film”.
Each billing block is made up of names of people who could have theoretically been involved in the film at the time.
All three were 27" x 40", printed on backlit film, and mounted on backlit frames to evoke the real feeling of seeing promotional film posters lit up at the theater.
